2025 DAMAZIO COHORT

BECOMING A GREAT MENTOR

Join me for MY 2025 damazio cohort – a once a month live interactive ZOOM class on becoming a great mentor

About the Cohort

This year’s cohort consists of mentoring principles and skills that are accessible to any leader with a heart to raise up leaders. This Cohort will unpack Biblical and historical models as we learn what it takes to become an effective mentor.

Mentoring puts the know-how into practice and asks the right questions – how can I encourage, support, be a compassionate sounding board and give valuable wisdom to the person I am mentoring? Mentoring Leadership is all about shaping, nurturing, empowering and growing others into their full God-given potential.

This cohort is focused on leaders mentoring emerging leaders and already functioning leaders. Embracing mentorship will amplify your leadership journey and create a lasting legacy by empowering future leaders. This is truly the greatest leadership truth you will be inspired to live out.

Apply today and join me for this 6-month zoom class & become a great mentor.

Dates & Topics

Cohort meets Thursdays at 2-3:30PM (PST) on the following dates

January 16Th: Understanding the Biblical & historical Concept of mentorship

The principle of mentoring is seen clearly in the Scriptures and in history. Defining the word “mentor” and the concept of mentoring is foundational in understanding the function of a mentor.

February 20Th: Mentoring Styles & Methods

The mentoring leader develops both informal and formal mentoring strategies and methods. Twelve methods will be defined and explained for a mentoring application with intentional people to be mentored.

March 20: Characteristics of Great Mentors

Through the research of great mentors, absolute characteristics surface and these will be examined. These traits can be developed and all great mentors know their weaknesses and have intentional plans to develop those traits.

April 17th: Red Flags of Bad MEntoritis

The mentoring experience can be one of the great successes of the mentor and mentee life. It can also be a bad experience if the mentor has toxic traits that sabotage the mentoring experience and potentially damage the mentee. We will unpack the most common negative traits of bad mentoring and show these as red flags.

May 15th: Mentoring the Next Generation

Mentoring the future leader is one of the greatest callings of the mentor. Life affords no greater responsibility and no greater privilege than raising up the next generation. The mentors of the next generation of leaders are a special species, progressive thinkers with a Jesus-centered style of mentoring.

June 19TH: Mentoring Using the Jesus Twelve Strategy

Mentoring can be one-to-one as your chosen strategy of it can be a group strategy as Jesus modeled with His group of twelve. It takes a detailed strategy and detailed plan for the mentor to select the chosen leaders for a successful mentoring. It is more than a class; it requires a mentoring atmosphere with a combination of ingredients with the group to make it a group mentoring.

Why a cohort?

I love the Cohort model! It is my time to be up close and personal with a smaller group of leaders over a longer period of time. I always hate to see them end.

Through this 6 month journey, I get to walk alongside you and help you to grow in your leadership. The Q&A times are just so refreshing to really deal with the real stuff of leadership. Hearing everyone’s stories and challenges and praying together makes this a rich time.
